Leanna Olitsky, MA, LICSW
Leanna is a licensed independent clinical social worker. After studying costume design at the University of Iowa, she completed her Master’s in Psychology at UMass Dartmouth and her Master’s in Social Work at Rhode Island College. She has extensive experience working with women throughout the perinatal stage (the time frame from one year before to 18 to 24 months after the birth of a child) and has received specific training in perinatal mental health.
She strives to create a safe space for her clients at any stage to express and process their emotions in order to ease the transition to motherhood and beyond. She also uniquely understands that the journey to parenthood can involve loss and provides a space for those to grieve, grow, and heal.
Leanna implements a strengths-based, person-centered approach, with a particular interest in drawing from mindfulness practices, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
She is currently offering virtual visits and is licensed in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
